Research Scientist Clinical Studies
who will contribute to our ambitious growth plans within the global nutrition arena.
In this new position you will play a key role within the Ausnutria Research & Development team. You will be working closely together with internal colleagues in R&D, Medical Marketing, Product Development and Sales. Additionally, you will collaborate with external partners at universities, research organizations and technology providers. You will actively contribute to broadening the organization’s scientific understanding of (infant) nutrition and enabling the realization of strategic objectives.
Tasks and responsibilities
Play a crucial role in further development and execution of the Clinical Research program in line with Ausnutria Dutch Holding’s R&D policy and procedures;
Spot and anticipate upon new developments and trends, translate these into valuable opportunities and concepts, and initiate clinical research projects and/or programs for introducing new and/or improved ingredients and products;
Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts and scientific professionals and Key Opinion Leaders, collaborate with universities and research institutes (contract researchers) in projects;
Build and maintain state-of-the-art level of knowledge in the requested field of expertise by networking within the scientific community, actively participating in scientific conferences and publishing in peer reviewed scientific papers.
Ensure pro-active dissemination of knowledge to others, as well as its implementation in projects;
Promote the company within the scientific community and for the benefit of our customers;
You will also act as an Internal Advisor for senior management.
Your profile
You are a passionate Senior Research Scientist with demonstrated expertise in the design, initiation and execution of Clinical Trials, preferably in de (infant) food area of expertise and are on your best in multi-disciplinary teams. You are also result driven, you demonstrate speed-of-action, while remaining accurate.
To be successful in this position it is important that you have:
PhD in biomedical or nutritional Sciences, or equivalent;
Extensive experience in the dairy, pharma- or infant nutrition industry with knowledge of and experience with the conduct of clinical trials, preferably in the infant food area;
At least 5 years working experience in the dairy, pharma- or infant nutrition industry
Good interpersonal & communication skills
Good command of the English language, Dutch is an advantage
