Affiliate / List Monetization Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a performance-driven Affiliate / List Monetization Manager to maximize revenue from our customer and lead databases through strategic affiliate partnerships and multi-channel campaigns.

This role owns the monetization engine across SMS and email channels, with full accountability for increasing Earnings Per Lead (EPL) and Earnings Per Customer (EPC). The ideal candidate understands direct response marketing, list segmentation, deliverability, compliance, and affiliate revenue optimization.

Primary Objective

Increase EPL and EPC by developing and executing monetization strategies in partnership with affiliate networks and direct advertisers.

Core Responsibilities

1. List Segmentation & Database Management

  • Manage and maintain large-scale customer and lead databases (100K+ contacts)

  • Develop advanced segmentation strategies based on demographics, engagement, behavior, and purchase data

  • Ensure strict compliance with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR (where applicable)

  • Maintain suppression lists, opt-out management, and consent tracking

  • Structure list splits and A/B testing frameworks for campaign optimization

2. Direct Response Copywriting & Messaging

  • Write high-converting SMS and email copy for cold and warm audiences

  • Develop offer-aligned messaging frameworks for affiliate campaigns

  • Craft subject lines, preview text, SMS hooks, and strong CTAs

  • Continuously test and iterate copy based on performance data

  • Adjust tone and messaging based on segment behavior and offer type

3. SMS Marketing Operations

  • Plan, launch, and optimize SMS campaigns end-to-end

  • Manage SMS platform operations (list uploads, scheduling, monitoring)

  • Oversee carrier compliance, throughput rates, and deliverability

  • Build and manage automation workflows and drip sequences

  • Troubleshoot delivery issues and protect sender reputation

4. Email Marketing Operations

  • Execute cold and warm email campaigns with proper infrastructure setup

  • Manage domain warming and IP reputation

  • Implement SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication protocols

  • Monitor inbox placement, bounce rates, and spam complaints

  • Build automation sequences and triggered campaigns

5. Technical Coordination (Developer Collaboration)

  • Clearly communicate API and automation requirements to developers

  • Coordinate platform integrations and custom implementations

  • Provide tracking specifications (pixels, attribution, conversion tracking)

  • Document workflows and technical handoffs

  • Test and validate implementations before launch

6. Analytics, Tracking & Reporting

  • Build comprehensive tracking systems across campaigns

  • Monitor leads sent, delivery rates, clicks, conversions, revenue, and ROI

  • Produce actionable performance reports for stakeholders

  • Identify optimization opportunities and present insights to leadership

  • Maintain organized records of campaign performance history

7. Affiliate Partner Management

  • Build and manage relationships with affiliate networks and direct advertisers

  • Negotiate payouts, placements, and exclusive offers

  • Source new monetization opportunities

  • Manage partner expectations and campaign coordination

  • Stay informed on new offers, trends, and competitive positioning

8. Campaign Ownership & Accountability

  • Own campaign performance from strategy to optimization

  • Proactively identify issues and implement solutions

  • Maintain deadlines and operational excellence

  • Communicate campaign updates clearly and consistently

  • Continuously improve processes and revenue performance

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, list monetization, or email/SMS marketing

  • Proven experience managing large databases (100K+ contacts)

  • Demonstrated success driving EPL, EPC, and campaign ROI

  • Strong direct response copywriting skills

  • Experience with segmentation strategies and campaign testing

  • Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation skills

  • High attention to detail and organizational strength

  • Ability to work independently with full ownership

Technical Skills & Platform Experience

SMS Platforms (Experience with at least one required)

  • Twilio

  • GoHighLevel (GHL)

  • EZ Texting

  • TextMagic

  • Ontraport

  • Similar enterprise SMS platforms
    (API integration experience preferred)

Email Marketing Platforms (Experience with at least one required)

  • GoHighLevel (GHL)

  • ActiveCampaign

  • SendGrid

  • Drip

  • Similar ESP platforms

Strong understanding of:

  • Cold email infrastructure

  • Domain warming

  • Deliverability management

Additional Technical Skills

  • Google Sheets / Excel proficiency

  • Tracking systems (UTMs, conversion pixels, analytics tools)

  • Basic API knowledge for developer collaboration

  • CRM and marketing automation workflows

Nice to Have

  • Experience across multiple SMS and email platforms

  • Affiliate network management experience (CJ, ShareASale, ClickBank, MaxBounty, etc.)

  • A/B testing tools and statistical analysis knowledge

  • Strong compliance knowledge (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR)

  • Background in performance marketing or lead generation
